This week, Google Play Pass made its India debut. This will give Android users access to apps and games without any ads, in-app purchases, or upfront fees. The subscription-based service costs Rs. 99 per month to start. After subscribing, customers have access to a selected assortment of applications and games that they can install on their devices. Google Play has a dedicated section where users can access the Play Pass collection of titles. If the member has a Google family group, members can now share their Play Pass subscription with up to five additional family members.
In India, Android users can subscribe to Google Play Pass for Rs. 99 per month or Rs. 889 per annum. A one-month trial of the service is also available. Furthermore, it is available as a prepaid one-month subscription for Rs. 109.

How to set up Google Play Pass on an Android device
Before we get into how to get Google Play Pass on your Android phone, it is important to understand that the service is currently rolling out and is not yet available to all customers in India. Google expects Play Pass to be fully operational within the next week. The smartphone is also required to have Android 4.4 or higher and to have at least Google Play Store app version 16.6.25. Furthermore, to join the service, subscribers must have a valid payment method.
- Navigate to Google Play and press the profile icon in the top-right corner, near the search bar.
- Select Play Pass.
- Hit Start at the introductory screen to proceed with subscribing to the Play Pass service. You can also purchase an annual subscription to save money over a monthly plan regularly.
- Check the total amount you pay and scroll down to read the terms of service.
- If everything looks fine, press Subscribe to activate the service on your account.
- To proceed, enter your Google Account password and tap Verify.

Google promises to have an exclusive library of over 1,000 titles from developers in 59 countries across 41 categories. To start with, the collection includes 15 works from India. The list is also regularly updated as new apps and games are added.
